Dave Porter oversees the development of one of the hottest suburban economies in the country. The region north of Austin continues to court new factories and large capital investments, and that’s showing no sign of slowing down, with new headquarters and manufacturing sites popping up routinely. It feels like Porter has spent as much time in South Korea as Austin as he’s aiming to bring businesses adjacent to Tesla Inc. and Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. to Williamson County. Those efforts are already coming to fruition and should change the landscape of the region for generations to come.
