For more than a decade, Ben White has been involved in Williamson County economic development efforts — first in Round Rock, then Cedar Park and now Taylor. If something big is about to happen to Williamson County’s economy, White probably has a hand in it. He’s helped attract new corporate citizens to the area, such as rocket maker Firefly Aerospace. He’s recently took the helm of the Taylor Economic Development Corp. at a monumental time in the small city’s long history. The suburb is aiming to reclaim its former title as the economic engine of Williamson County, with Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd.’s massive chipmaking facility that is expected to open any time now.
