The 118-acre CedarView project in Cedar Park has confirmed another anchor in addition to a huge Nebraska Furniture Mart.

Indiana-based real estate firm Great Lakes Capital, in partnership with NFM and the city of Cedar Park, announced March 10 that a full-service Marriott hotel and convention center also will be part of the project at 750 E. New Hope Drive.

The hotel will have 300 guest rooms, 30,000-square-feet of event and meeting space, a full-service restaurant, breakfast cafe and expansive pool area, according to an announcement. Construction is slated to begin in May, and it’s set to open in early 2027.

“The development of this hotel and convention center in CedarView underscores our commitment to creating vibrant, connected communities that elevate the standard of hospitality,” Great Lakes Capital Managing Partner Ryan Rans said in a statement.

It’s the latest update to the transformative project in Cedar Park north of Austin. Developers are deep into construction of infrastructure. A 240,000-square-foot Scheels sporting goods store is set to open in late 2026, and the 1.1 million-square-foot NFM is slated to do so in 2027. Plans also call for at least 700,000 square feet of warehouse space and 250,000 square feet of retail, not counting the massive furniture store that appears to be the largest single store ever to hit the Austin area.

“This hotel and event space will offer a critical resource for Cedar Park and the greater Austin area,” NFM Executive Vice President Ryan Blumkin said in a statement.

More than three years ago, the Cedar Park City Council approved a development agreement and financial incentives with CPM Development LLC, which is affiliated with NFM. The city provided $45 million in incentives for the development, which is forecast to generate $435 million in new tax revenue for Cedar Park in its first 25 years of operation.

Cedar Park City Manager Brenda Eivens said in a statement that the hotel will establish “the CedarView development as a premier vibrant, regional destination for economic growth and tourism.”
