Get your popcorn ready, Hippos! The City of Hutto is excited to share an update on the highly anticipated entertainment destination coming to our community. The City of Hutto is aware of the recent announcement regarding the separation of Elevate Entertainment Group (EEG), the parent company of EVO Entertainment, and its Austin, Texas-based business partner Es Vedra Cinemas, who owns Violet Crown Cinemas, ShowBiz Cinemas, and others. This separation involves a planned division of properties, including theaters and entertainment centers, between the two entities. EEG will retain the EVO brand, while the Hutto location currently under construction will go to Es Vedra Cinema’s new brand. While this means a change in branding for the venue, we want to assure you that the project is moving forward with excitement and commitment.

“We’re excited to bring an all-new entertainment destination to Hutto,” said Charlie Tiantawach, Chief Executive Officer of the company. “Opening May 2025, our 54,400 square foot facility will feature a cutting-edge movie experience, including an eight-screen cinema with IMAX, alongside twelve full-size bowling lanes. Our expansive gaming space, enhanced food, beverage and cocktail menus, and unique programming are all designed to bring the community together. Whether you plan to visit for movies, games, bowling, celebrations or because it’s Thursday, we can’t wait to welcome you. Despite these changes, the City of Hutto and the Hutto EDC are committed to working with the Es Vedra Cinemas and maintaining a collaborative relationship with all stakeholders. We share the community’s excitement for this new venue and will continue to provide updates as they become available. 

“While we wait for the brand reveal, residents can see the progress on construction at 180 Alliance Boulevard, off of US Highway 79 near Academy Sports.” said Cheney Gamboa, Director of Economic Development, “The Hutto Economic Development Corporation and City leaders promised our community a first-class cinema and entertainment experience and it is on track to be delivered on schedule.”
